i walk away from my computer to eat lunch and return to 7 new emails. it is like this always, a constant trickle. i have to do everything i can to keep the numbers down. delete from my phone constantly. report as spam. archive all. i still batch up about 20 a week that i try to respond to on mondays…
who cares.
i am slowly trying to get back into LJ. i miss the communities and the place for personal journaling. another texture in my lifestream… personal journaling / stream of consciousness writing doesn’t have much of a place in a goalstream and sometimes twitter just isn’t enough. so here we are. must catch up on ONTD…
who else is still here? hi.
- Set a timer. 10 minutes. I have to sleep at least one hour…!
- Check paperwork. Bills? Notices? Unopened mail? Sort, pay, and share. I got insurance cards from Geico–I need to formally cancel insurance with them.
- Check email inbox for ’starred’ emails of due bills. Pay and un’star’. Document. My email is an atrocious mess. It gives me a panic attack to look there. Luckily, few emails are finance related & those that are can wait. Some are related to my web hosting overhaul project to commence this winter break (things like canceling & transferring domains). Some are related to car insurance, which can be dealt with later; in theory I have until December 24th.
- Go through receipts. Email photos of receipts with dollar amounts in heading. Add shared expenses to daytum account. I don’t think I need to do anything here…
- Check balances at Chase twice, Citi, Discover, student loans. Make appropriate payments, screen shot often. All good.
- Check calendar for upcoming due dates or milestones. Still thinking about travel funding. Very concerned about my current GRA position and need to address many things with that. That will be an entirely different saga… I also need to decide what to do with my Powebook in need of a $400 logic board. Dentist appointment? Order stamps? Not this morning.
- With any remaining time, log into Wesabe and/or Mint and tag expenses, work on specific projects, etc. Actually logged into Wesabe. No new expenses to tag at the moment. Neat.
Actual time to write this post: 13 minutes.
