Tuesday Tips: 10 Ways to Remember Life Loves You

Welcome to Tuesday Tips, the prettiest collection of thoughts I've found all week. Straight from my life experiences and translated into actionable advice, I write these to remind myself how far I've come in this crazy adventure. Life is easy when you let it be, so let's see if any of these ideas make your trip more fun today.

1. Know the difference between idling and stalling.
I often say to myself, "I'll let that come to me." Or, "I'll let that unfold." But sometimes I know I'm saying that instead of being brave and asking for what I want. When I know that I'm resisting taking action out of fear, I have to say to myself, "What would I do if I wasn't afraid?" If I wasn’t afraid, I wouldn’t feel afraid. And then I don’t. Easy, instant confidence. Take the action and then expect the outcome you want. If there's something you want and you're not going for it because you're afraid you'll get rejected, that's when you know it's time to take action!

2. Your body is an instrument. Play it.
Jenna Jasso made a beautiful dance video that ended with the above quote. That's how I feel when I'm hooping, playing Astrojax, or taking group fitness classes at the gym—like I'm playing my body like an instrument. It's so fun!

3. Hula hoop for healing.
Hoop around your waist to calm your stomach. Spin on specific limbs to fix joint and muscle pain. Stretch with your hoop. Rotate your limbs 360º. There's something calming about feeling the natural flow of a circle spinning, probably because hooping and sacred geometry are connected.

4. Think of your partner as an angel trying to help you in this life.
Danielle Laporte reminded me that there are a hundred thousand angels by my side. If you can see the people in your life as angels trying to help you, you'll be surrounded by angels helping you. It's such a relief.

5. Create the version you want!
You're either creating the version of reality you want, or you're creating the version you don't want. You're creating either way, so why not choose the reality you prefer? Here's a script you can try, straight from the oracle's mouth:

I'm creating the version I want. I decided to feel good about that. I know my reality is only reflecting the signal I send. My reality does not affect me, it reflects me. I am sending a clear, strong signal of what I want. I trust the process of life. I know it is unfolding perfectly. It's up to me how the people in my life behave—they can only reflect the signal I'm sending. I feel the feeling of having what I want right now. Everything is already the way I want it to be.

6. Pissed off? Disappointed?
Look for the other side of the wave by saying "I like it when..." I like it when things come to me. I like it when life is easy and uncomplicated. I like it when I feel cared for and loved. I like it when I'm in a good mood. I like it when I feel confident. I like it when I like myself. I like it when my life feels good to me.

7. Your mood is your only work!
All that matters is how you feel, because how you feel determines what you experience. You get to choose how you feel, and it gets easier the more you practice. You don't have to take any action. You don't have to struggle. Just decide to feel good, and life will do your work for you. If you don't know how to feel good, stop thinking by counting.

8. Develop your emotional compass.
I love finding shortcuts to deal with specific emotions. These mantras help me take the ride up the emotional scale faster every time.

Wanting? I'm happy with what I have.
Fear? I've decided to feel good about that, it's working itself out.
Excitement / anxiety? What would I do if I wasn't afraid?
Jealousy / lust? I love you, Jessica.
Panic? I can always align with my breath.
Joy? Thank you thank you thank you!

9. You can always align with breath.
Slow, deep breaths are the best way to pull yourself together, a belief I cemented in my mind after watching this Spirit Science video. And if you can believe in the power of your breath, you can believe in the power of prana, or life force energy. If you want to take your breathing practice to the next level, move beyond lung breathing into pranic breathing. Visualizing breathing through my pranic tube during periods of high stress turns me into a superhero. Try it, you'll like it!

10. You are an artist and your life is your art.
That's why lifestreaming rules so much. If your life is the painting, lifestreaming is a brush. The paint is bottomless life experience. You get to choose what to do with your paint. You can paint yourself any way you want. Who do you want to be today? What would you do if you weren't afraid?
