Taco Tips

Welcome to Tuesday Taco Tips, the weekly guide to a good attitude. As Hurricane Sandy challenges our friends and family in other parts of the world, those of us here in Austin are reminded of how blessed we truly are. When shit hits the fan and our petty concerns of daily life recede into the background, it’s nice to remember that we already have it all. We have a never-ending supply of love that will always pull us through. Here are some ways to count your blessings, go with the flow, and project a signal of taco.

Doing

procrastinate!
1. Procrastinate.
If you don’t feel like doing something, it’s not the right time. According to Danielle Laporte, “Hesitation can be a form of wisdom.” And Abraham says, “What is the definition of procrastination? It means: I can feel within my Energy sensor that this action is not in perfect alignment at this time.”



I <3 U
2. Look in the mirror and tell yourself “I love you.”
Louise Hay says, “Mirror work is very powerful. Whenever we look into the mirror, most of us will say something negative to ourselves. To look yourself straight in the eye and make a positive declaration about yourself is, in my opinion, the quickest way to get results with affirmations.”

Thinking

Silent Counting
3. Count to stop thinking.

99 things
4. Make a list of 99 Things you love.
Every day, I make a list of things I like about my day. I write down everything from my breakfast, to the hot shower I took, to my favorite mantra for the day. Notice it, get more of it. Download the worksheet here!

5. Tell it how you want it to be, not how it is.
If you want something specific but haven’t quite found a way to believe it can be yours, try our Life Story worksheet.

Feeling

6. Send a signal of appreciation.
To actively request more things to appreciate, finish this sentence: “I love it how…” I love it how I got up early today. I love it how I have time to write. I love it how I feel healthy. I love it how Kelly and I are getting along.




7. Send a signal of unconditional love.
Practice telling yourself and those around you, “I love you no matter what.” For more on self-love, watch the above Daily Meditation for 10.25.12 – How To Love Yourself.

8. Nuzzle what you want to muzzle.
That annoying shit in your life just wants to be loved too! It’s annoying you because it’s a part of yourself that you don’t like. Love and accept the parts of yourself you don’t like and the external annoyances will go away.

Being

9. Remember what you are.
“I am a human being, not a human doing.” ~Wayne Dyer

10. Be easy.
Whatever is coming your way, accept it as a gift. When things don’t go as planned, know it’s a solution. Take the path of least resistance. Say yes. Let go. Life is supposed to be easy. Let it live you and it will take you where you want to go!
