You're in control. No matter how bad you feel, or how good you feel, you're going to be ok. It's going to keep getting better. You're learning more and more. Life is unfolding for you.

You'll always have contrast of some kind. Whether it's about money or health or love, your job, creativity, your home--it's always something. You can choose right now to take yourself outside of that up and down, that rollercoaster, that treadmill that never ends.

This is where you're supposed to be. If you want to feel relief, you can feel it right now. In this moment, life is taking care of you. In this moment, everything is perfect. In this moment, you have no problems, because you're still breathing!

Breathe in and know it's all working out.
Breathe out and feel so excited because you're going to enjoy your contrast.

If you enjoy your contrast, as much as you enjoy the good parts, you'll have nothing to worry about for the rest of your life!

I grew up with parents who loved me unconditionally. However, I can't say that they approve of me or my actions unconditionally.

When I was in high school I didn't give a flying fuck about their approval. I knew they loved me, but they were really strict. I rebelled as hard as I could. I always approved of myself because I was having, pursuing and being fun.

Once I made it through a couple rough years of undergrad, I started wanting to get along with my parents better. It was great, but I realize now I started approving of my desires and actions less and less. I was using their approval scale--grades, weight, job. In high school I didn't care about those things at all.

I've been practicing self love using mantras like, "Jessica I love and accept you exactly the way you are," and it's felt a little off. Deep down, I know I love myself. I think I'm pretty great, and when I step back to watch the story of my life, I think it's a pretty cool story. I do love myself.

But then I read You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. The first affirmation she suggests using is "I approve of myself." I didn't quite get it until this morning, when I heard myself thinking, "I just want some approval!"

Immediately I started saying "I approve of myself" over and over. I began to feel better and better. When I said, "Jessica I love and accept you exactly the way you are," I felt guilty. Like, "I love you and accept you even though you are bad in the following ways." But when I say, "I approve of myself," I feel like I own my desires and am proud of myself. "I love myself the way I am" feels like I am flawed. "I approve of myself" feels like I'm kicking ass and don't need anyone else's approval.

What is your approval-to-love ratio? Do you find yourself feeling fundamentally unloved, or just needing a little approval? Give "I approve of myself" a shot and see if it makes more sense than focusing on the notion of self love.

Grateful for new ideas. Grateful I can let it all come to me. Grateful I know I don't have to DO anything. Grateful for heat. Grateful I don't have to care about anything. Grateful I can let go. Grateful I can release my fears and resistance. Grateful I can say yes. Grateful I can be here now. Grateful to be conscious. Grateful to be alive. Grateful to get to watch this and be a part of this.

Grateful to embrace the ebb. Grateful to trust this moment. Grateful to remember that this is just a stepping stone on my path. Grateful to remember that it always works out. Grateful for my meditation videos because they help me relax so much. Grateful for mj. Grateful for ways to open my mind and relax and let go of my worries and sadness. Grateful I can help myself. Grateful for new ideas. Grateful for new desires. Grateful I can relax and be easy on myself. Grateful for contrast because it creates.

Wouldn't it be nice to be at peace with what is and happy with what I have?




I'm switching to the reality I prefer. In the reality I prefer, I'm carefree. In the reality I prefer, life is fun. I am feeling better and better as the day goes on. I am getting better and better at releasing resistance. I am free. I am focused. My attention is trained. I am in love with myself. I am allowing well being. I am relaxed. I am letting go. I am free!

In the reality I prefer, everything's working out. I'm making my best work. I'm in control of my vibration. I'm allowing myself to receive. I'm open. I'm at peace with what is. Life is working out for me. I'm in the right place at the right time.
