Today, decide to embrace your contrast. Embrace the things you don’t like about your life. Embrace your problems. Fall in love with your problems. Then they won’t be problems anymore.

What you want is coming to you, but only when you feel as good as you would if you already had it. Forget about your desires, forget about where you want to be. Let yourself enjoy right now. Let yourself fall in love with right now.

Life is good and it’s not serious! We can lighten up now. It’s just for fun.

Whatever problems you may have, let yourself love them. Whatever problems you may have, let yourself be at peace with them today. If you think someone’s mad at you, say, “I love it when you’re mad at me!” And try to really feel what it would feel like to love it. Or, if there’s tension in your home, say to yourself, “I love it when there’s tension in my home.” You don’t have to say why you love it, you don’t have to know why you love it. Just try to feel the feeling of love for your problems.

Breathe out and say THANK YOU!

When you love your contrast, you embrace it. You accept it. When you accept your contrast, you’re no longer trying to push it away. You already know what you resist, persists. When you dislike something about your life and you keep wanting to push it away, you just bring it closer. The most practical way to deal with your contrast is just to enjoy it, accept it, embrace it, welcome it into your life.

Breathe in and see your problems aren’t a big deal
Breathe out and let your problems just wash away like a drop of water on a windshield.

This is your show. This life is serving you. This world is serving you. All of the people in it are supporting characters in your life story. Rise up and feel confident! Be strong! Be the person you know you can be today.

Feel powerful! If your problems don’t bother you anymore, you’ve found the key to life. If you can accept where you are with love, you’ve already won. You already have the upper hand.

Breathe in and embrace your struggles. They make you who you are.
Breathe out and remember when you make peace with your struggles, they work themselves out.

You’re always going to have another problem. You’re always going to have more contrast. That’s the nature of life. Contrast makes you ask for what you want. You couldn’t create new things if you didn’t see what you don’t want. Ask yourself, what is the contrast making you ask for?

Whatever gets you down, whatever problems you may have, use this day to transmute them into power and love and art and joy. You have the power to transmute anything into anything because you’re a magician—you’re god in human form and you came here to have fun.

If you are the creator, it must be safe for you to enjoy your life now. If you are the creator, you get to choose how you feel. If you get to choose how you feel, you can have so much influence on the world around you.

I love myself.” Even if you don’t want to, even if you don’t believe it, even if it’s annoying, just try saying it over and over. Gradually you’ll begin to believe it. Eventually you’ll begin to think of reasons why it’s true. You have to become it to see it. You have to act as if, for it to happen. So today, decide to love yourself, and let the feelings of love come.

You can just surrender and exist in this moment.

A Potion for Personal Power

Hi, I’m Jessica, and I’m a witch. I’m not a traditional witch by any means–I believe witchcraft is making magick in any way one sees fit. I don’t follow pagan holidays, I don’t worship specific deities and I avoid spiritual labels. I make my own rules and rituals and design my own tools for manifestation. I like to refer to my type of witchery as “living the magick life,” which means dreaming big, trusting the process of life, and training one’s mind to see the miracle we’re already living.

American Witch Magazine approached me to write an article for their site, and my wife asked me what I was going to write about. I told her probably my recent sobriety, to which she responded, “Boring! Wouldn’t you rather write about something other than deprivation?”

Her reply brings me to my topic, which is, DON’T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS OR SAYS.

Sobriety isn’t necessary to the practice of witchcraft, but when I recently reached alcoholism of epic proportions, I made a decision to dry out and see life more clearly. Every single day I had been sick with hangovers, and drunken evenings left no time for spiritual work.

I was drinking myself dry of personal power. I was drinking to gloss over my irritations with others. I was drinking to numb myself to things I didn’t like. I was drinking because I thought other people wanted me to. I was drinking because I was bored. I was drinking because I always drank. I was drinking because I was scared. I was drinking because I thought I couldn’t have fun any other way.

So when my life coach helped me come to the decision to sober up 18 days ago, I felt so relieved. Finally! I won’t be hungover every day! Finally, I’ll remember my evenings! I won’t hate getting out of bed every day!

I don’t give a fuck if you drink or not. And I’m not saying I’ll never drink again. But what this short time of sobriety has taught me is that to be a witch and practice magick, you cannot GIVE A FUCK WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK! There will always be naysayers and haters and people threatened by YOU DOING YOU. There will always be bad influences and people who drain your energy. Who cares? You don’t have to give a fuck about them!

My personal power comes from stepping outside of my mind and connecting to source energy. It comes from seeing from a larger perspective and going with the flow. It comes from trusting that life loves me and I’m in the right place at the right time. It comes from my awareness of my connection to infinite intelligence, or god if you like to call it that.

Drinking was draining my personal power, and now I have more than ever. But I never could have stopped drinking if I took other people’s opinions into consideration.

Wouldn't it be nice to meditate? Wouldn't it be nice to find the perfect thing to do? Wouldn't it be nice if those business cards made themselves? Wouldn't it be nice to feel inspired to write that article? Wouldn't it be nice to read? Wouldn't it be nice to play candy crush? Wouldn't it be nice to practice some witchcraft? Wouldn't it be nice to feel super energized? Wouldn't it be nice to hear new ideas? Wouldn't it be nice to be fascinated? Wouldn't it be nice to find something new? Wouldn't it be nice to share and give? Wouldn't it be nice to let go of resistance?

Wouldn't it be nice to do nice things for my friends? Wouldn't it be nice to send thank yous? Wouldn't it be nice to make art? Wouldn't it be nice to know exactly what to do? Wouldn't it be nice to s a b? Wouldn't it be nice to feel light and free? Wouldn't it be nice if Kelly got up? Wouldn't it be nice to have the best night of my life? Wouldn't it be nice to record my best video yet? Wouldn't it be nice to spend a day at a spa? Wouldn't it be nice to have someone else do my nails? Wouldn't it be nice to feel better and better as the night unfolds? Wouldn't it be nice to play nintendo? Wouldn't it be nice to relax and trust? Wouldn't it be nice to be kind to myself? Wouldn't it be nice to let go?

I'm switching to the version of reality I prefer. In the reality I prefer, life is working out for me. I'm in the right place at the right time. I'm doing everything right. I'm letting life be fun and easy. I am allowing well being to flow. Life is taking care of me. I am at peace with what is. I don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks. I am doing my best. I am letting go of resistance. I am kind and generous and loving. Life is on my side. My path will light up for me. I am allowing well being to flow.

In the reality I prefer, I can relax and enjoy now. I can let life be fun and easy. I am at peace with what is and letting go of my resistance and worries. I am free! I am light! I am focused! I am inspired! I am making my best work! I am in love with my life! I am relaxed and allowing and confident and excited!

Today I intend to DO ME. Today I intend to open up to receiving. Today I intend to let go of my worries. Today I intend to appreciate all that I have. Today I intend to go with the flow. Today I intend to enjoy my life. Today I intend to have singular focus. Today I intend to smile and laugh and have fun!

Today I intend to step outside of my mind and see the bigger picture. Today I intend to have the best day of my life!

Someone taught me (thank you Pam!) that, to surrender means accepting the moment for what it is, and not having to change it or you. As you go about your day, try using this as your mantra. Try saying, “I surrender. I don’t have to change it or you.”

When you accept the moment for what it is, when you surrender and accept what is, you release all of your fighting for control. All of your resisting, all of your negative thoughts, when you are at peace with the moment, you allow yourself to flow with life.

Breathe in and say, “I am at peace with this moment. I don’t have to change it or you.”

You are at peace with this moment and you don’t have to change it. You don’t have to change yourself. You don’t have to change anyone else.

Breathe in and feel relief.
Breathe out and surrender.

When you surrender, you don’t have to feel irritated at other people. You don’t have to be mad at your circumstances. When you let yourself relax, when you stop trying to fight for control, you become a magnet for what you want.

You don’t have to change it. You don’t have to change me. You don’t have to change you. You can just surrender to what is and enjoy what is.

What freedom that is! What liberation! You don’t have to try to change or control anything anymore! You can surrender and literally go with the flow of life.

How free you must feel now that you don’t have to change anything. You don’t have to change this moment and you don’t have to change anyone else to be happy. Everyone else is off the hook, this moment is off the hook, you are off the hook. You are free to enjoy this moment for what it is. You are free to be at peace in this moment, the way it is.
