Daily Meditation – Be Here Now

After researching LSD and psilocybin with Timothy Leary, Harvard professor Richard Alpert (later named Ram Dass) went on a spiritual journey to India. If he found himself reminiscing or planning, he was reminded to “Be Here Now” by his guide. If you find yourself worrying or overthinking a bit too often, try reminding yourself throughout the day: Be Here Now.

Breathe in and raise your vibration!
Breathe out and release your resistance!

Relax your body.

Breathe in and open up to receiving
Breathe out and celebrate how far you’ve come!

You’re in the right time, the right place, you’re doing everything right. It’s ok to relax now, and be at peace with what is.

Breathe in and step into this present moment
Breathe out and let go of your worries. Decide to not give a fuck about your worries! They’re never going to end!

There will always be something else to worry about. What if you decide to just stop worrying completely and trust the process of life?!

It can be so overwhelming to constantly be worrying about your health, your money, someone else’s health, what does this person think about me, what should I do, what shouldn’t I do, am I doing this right, am I good enough, do people love me?? And on and on… What if today, you decided to say, “Fuck those worries!” and just enjoy the present moment?

Breathe out and let yourself yawn if you want to yawn!

Breathe in and say “I love myself”
Breathe out and say “I don’t give a fuck!”

I don’t give a fuck about this weird sunlight situation! I don’t give a fuck that I’m constantly worried about my health and if it’s not my health it’s money and if it’s not my money it’s my family and if it’s not my family it’s my relationships and if it’s not my relationships it’s my pets! No more! Today, you me both, are going to let our worries go, forever! And live in the present moment where everything is fun and there’s nothing to worry about!

Breathe in and step into this present moment!
Breathe out and decide you’re going to have fun today!

In the present moment, you get to just play! In the present moment, you’ll get the information you need when you need it. You’ll figure out a solution when it’s time to figure out a solution. Worrying is not going to help, but what is going to help is enjoying your life!

Breathe in and be here now
Breathe out and wake up in the dream!

As you go about your day, let “Be here now” be your mantra. Every time you think it, just let your thoughts stop and pay attention to where you are. Each moment is so magickal. There’s so much to see. So much detail, so many animals and plants and clouds! There’s so much beauty and perfection in the world, right here, right now.

You can let go of your worries, even though your mind’s going to try to pull you back, saying, “You should probably worry about this still. You should probably do something about this.” But each time you notice your mind trying to pull your awareness towards a disturbance, take a deep breath, and remind yourself: Be here now.

After you repeat this mantra a while, you’ll notice yourself thinking a different mantra with your breath:

It might just come up naturally after a few “Be Here Now”s.

Breathe in and lighten up! Life is just for fun!
Breathe out and just be here now

You don’t have to do anything. This moment is perfect. In this moment, everything is working out for you. You’re alive! You’re breathing! It’s all you need! Every time you find yourself judging someone or thinking about how bad your life is, just remind yourself: “Be Here Now.” Notice all the stories your mind makes up, trying to ruin your day! But you can stand up to your thoughts. You’re stronger than your mind. You are not your mind. Today you’re transcending your mind.
