Daily Meditation – Wake Up Excited to Get Out of Bed

As a working-from-home, self-employed person, getting up before noon on a regular basis has been a struggle since college. Lately, our kitty Pwny has been pooping in inappropriate places every morning, sometime between 8 and 10am. We let this go on for months, not knowing what to do to make her stop.

One day we had to get up early to put our outgoing packages on the porch. It was 7:45am. We decided to feed the cats their coveted wet food when we got up. Pwny didn’t misbehave that day. We didn’t have to clean up shit in places it wasn’t supposed to be.

The past week, we’ve gotten up at 7:45am to feed the cats, and the poop issue appears solved. She was just pooping out of spite because we weren’t feeding her breakfast early enough. (Side note: she always has kibble available; she’s not starving.) So now we have a compelling, irresistible reason to get out of bed before 10.

This miracle of miracles couldn’t have happened if I hadn’t been focused on thinking “I love myself” every spare minute since Tuesday morning. I feel there is a direct connection between keeping my attention on the thought “I love myself” and suddenly being able to see how my problems are actually pinhead solutions.

Wake Up Excited to Get Out of Bed
Breathe in and raise your vibration!
Breathe out and release your resistance!

Breathe in and raise your vibration!
Breathe out and release your resistance!

Guess what? Every place in your life where you think you need more self-discipline, you actually just need more self-love. And self-love is easy to give to yourself.

Breathing in I love myself.
Breathing out I love myself.

Decide right here, right now, that you’re going to let go of hating yourself. You’re going to let go of beating yourself up. You’re going to let go of focusing on what you don’t want. All of that wasted attention is now going to be placed on loving yourself.

As you go about your day, just say “I love myself” over and over and over and think nothing else. Something happens you don’t like? “I love myself. I love myself. I love myself.” Or if you’re like, “I wish I did this thing, I wish I would just do this thing!” Instead think, “I love myself. I love myself. I love myself.” If you’re distracted, “I love myself. I love myself. I love myself.”

Breathe in and say “I love myself.”
Breathe out and say “I love myself.”

Can you feel yourself feeling better already? You don’t have to change anything in your life if you love yourself. You’ll already love your life.

Breathing in I love myself!
Breathing out I love myself!

From this day forward, your attention is on loving yourself. You won’t believe the manifestations that come from loving yourself! Every single thing that you wanted to work on, accomplish, finish, get recognition for—it will all come when you love yourself.

Breathing in I love myself.
Breathing out I love myself.

Try to really feel what it feels like, in the moment when you’re experiencing the contrast of not liking yourself.

Breathing in I love myself.
Breathing out I love myself.

In the moment that you look and you see something you don’t like,

Breathing in I love myself.
Breathing out I love myself.

Breathing in I love myself.
Breathing out I love myself.

The magick isn’t even the mantra, although the mantra helps. The magick is deciding to place your attention within instead of letting it get dragged around by other people, by negative thoughts, negative emotions. Today you are deciding to place your singular focus on loving yourself.

Breathing in I love myself.
Breathing out I love myself.

This is the best day of your life. It’s about to get so good! Tomorrow morning, if you keep thinking, “I love myself” all day today, tomorrow morning, you’re going to wake up feeling excited to get out of bed, just because you love yourself!

Breathing in I love myself.
Breathing out I love myself.

Breathing in I love myself.
Breathing out I love myself.
