I am so grateful to be awake and alive! I am so grateful for my friends, for breakfast tacos, for forks and knives, for my computer and microphone, for my wife and for my family and my kitties. I am so grateful for my city and home and for money in the bank. I am so grateful for my health and for my nice teeth and for friends with cars. I am so grateful to have cat litter and food in the fridge and money for a ROAD TRIP! I am so grateful to feel inspired and connected and excited. I am so grateful to feel good about myself. I am so grateful for the bus and for my website and for creative projects with my friends.

I am so grateful to be more conscious every day. I am so grateful for running water and for rap and pop music and for the Internet. I am so grateful for our friends who let us borrow their electronics. I am so grateful I can afford to pay someone to cat sit. I am so grateful I can afford to buy new leg warmers for biking in the winter. I am so grateful to have a simran that’s really really working! I am so grateful to learn more and more how to love myself. I am so grateful life feels good to me. I am so grateful to feel good about my life and what is happening. I am so grateful to be here now.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have the best day of my life? Wouldn’t it be nice to meditate? Wouldn’t it be nice to have fun with my friends? Wouldn’t it be nice to go to bed feeling good? Wouldn’t it be nice to just relax and be here now? Wouldn’t it be nice to experience WILD SUCCESS? Wouldn’t it be nice to become less self absorbed? Wouldn’t it be nice to be kind to others? Wouldn’t it be nice to do nice things for Kelly? Wouldn’t it be nice to show my appreciation to all my friends? Wouldn’t it be nice to let go? Wouldn’t it be nice to feel better and better as the day goes on? Wouldn’t it be nice to remember that I’ll be ok no matter what happens? Wouldn’t it be nice to write my siblings? Wouldn’t it be nice to trust the flow of life? Wouldn’t it be nice to give compliments? Wouldn’t it be nice to give what I want to receive? Wouldn’t it be nice to let go and laugh and have fun and be light? Wouldn’t it be nice to make my best work? Wouldn’t it be nice to relax and remember I’m already perfect and I don’t need to change or achieve to be a good person?

I’m switching to the version of reality I prefer. In the reality I prefer, everything is working out for everyone. I am breathing consciously. I am sending love to others. I am giving love to myself. I am letting life be easy. I am kind and generous and at peace with what is. Life already is the way I want it to be. No matter what happens, I will be ok. I will shine in any circumstance. I am here now. I am letting life be easy. I am connected to the flow of life. I am listening to the flow and trusting my intuition. I am letting life be easy. I am letting life take care of me. I am letting life work out. I am letting life take care of me. I am letting go. I am here now. I am so happy with what I have. Life already is the way I want it to be!

I love it when I do the work. I love it when I meditate. I love it when I get to hoop. I love it when I get to hoop outside. I Love it when I eat well. I love it when I feel good about myself. I love it when I’m present. I love it when I let life be easy. I love it when I relax. I Love it when I embrace change. I love it when I’m excited! I love it when I’m kind. I love it when I let go of my worries. I love it when I trust the process. I love it when I take care of myself. I love it when I find new music to love. I love it when I trip out doing the dishes and imagine them as friendly cartoon characters who love it when I wash them. I love it when I’m present! I love it when I remember that my craft is being present! I love it when the chores are done! I love it when I feel like all my ducks are in a row. I love it when I don’t care. I love it when I take care of my reality. I love it when I love myself and do me and don’t care!

I intend to have the best day of my life. I Intend to bring positivity into the car. I intend to go with the flow. I intend to relax and let go. I intend to keep my attention focused on my breath and on loving myself. I intend to have and be fun! I intend to do me! I intend to feel better and better as the day goes on. I intend to give compliments. I intend to listen. I intend to let life live me. I intend to project love. I intend to not give a fuck!

Dear Jessica,
Everything is working out. Relax and be here now. Relax and enjoy how good you feel right now. Take whatever good feelings you’re experiencing, and send them out for the world to enjoy! Let love carry you. Let love be your answer. Let love lead you. Everything is perfect and in its place. It’s all working out for everyone!

Breathe in and celebrate how far you’ve come!
Breathe out and be nice to yourself.

You’re doing everything right. You’re perfect the way you are. You can let yourself relax now. Everything is falling into place.

Breathe in and trust the flow of life.
Breathe out and just let yourself be here now.

It’s time for you to shine! You don’t have to strive or try to shine, you only have to be who you already are.

Breathe in and smile!
Breathe out and celebrate because life really can be easy.

Tell yourself that you’re the type of person that no matter what happens, always has a good attitude. You love yourself no matter what happens. No matter what happens, you love yourself so it’s going to turn out ok. You don’t need anything else from anyone else. You don’t need a certain outcome. Whatever happens, you’re going to shine.

Breathe in and feel relieved! You’re going to shine!
Breathe out and just relax. You’re already shining right now!

As you go through your day, keep your attention on your breath and on loving yourself. My newest favorite mantra to have running through my mind all day every day is this:

Breathing in, I love myself

If “I love myself” doesn’t particularly resonate with you, or if you’re feeling negative emotion, try this one instead:

Let life be easy. Let it be fun. You’re just here to enjoy it. It’s just a dream. It’s just for fun. Everything is perfect and already in its place. You don’t have to change a thing.

When you give yourself love no matter what, no matter what your circumstances are or what your behavior is–when you choose to love yourself no matter what, then no matter what happens, you’re always loved and you’re always free!

Daily Meditation – Transmute Contrast into Compassion

Welcome to the Now, where all of your power lies. Welcome to the present moment, where everything is perfect and in its place, where everything is synchronous. Whatever’s happening right now is supposed to happen. It’s perfect for you right now. It’s teaching you something.

Breathe in and listen.
Breathe out and empty your mind.

Whatever contrast is occurring, whether you’re irritated or angry or worried, use your contrast as a seed for compassion. When you feel irritated, think to yourself “I wish for no other beings to feel irritated like I am.” Allow yourself to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, and to wish well being on others when you experience contrast. Then you can turn your contrast into something positive.

Breathe in and transmute your contrast.
Breathe out and feel compassion for your fellow beings.

Life is taking care of you. Life is taking care of all of us. Everything is working out for everyone. We only have to shift our perspective to see it.

Breathe in and let this day be easy.
Breathe out and relax.

When things annoy or irritate you, know that it’s a solution. It’s life trying to help you. When there are things you don’t like, it’s an opportunity to focus on what you do like. You get to choose what you place your attention on.

Breathe in and be here now.
Breathe out and remember you can always go back to your breath.

You don’t have to think about it. You don’t have to worry. You can just focus on your breath.

Allow life to guide you, to help you. Contrast isn’t bad, negative emotion isn’t bad. It’s a solution and it’s helping you.

No matter how complex life gets, no matter how deep life becomes, you can always go back to your breath, to the simplicity of on and off, the rhythm of life.
