Daily Meditation – Feel as Good as You Would…

Lately I’ve been on a quest. I notice all the times throughout the day I crave drugs and alcohol, and I wonder: Why can’t I feel that good on my own? Why do I need this thing outside of me to feel better? I know from the books I read that it IS possible to feel good regardless of circumstance, but how the eff do you actually DO that in daily reality?

I love different techniques like silent counting and repeating mantras to shake my attention off of negative thoughts and cravings. But I always want to get the benefits of counting (it’s easy to stay focused on the simple task) AND the benefits of thinking a mantra (I’m actually creating new thought patterns!). So today’s technique for feeling like I’m on drugs without being on drugs is to count mantras… (I was inspired by a blog post of Philip Rosedale’s on silent counting that he learned from his monk friend who counted mantras…).

1 I love myself. 2 I love myself. 3 I love myself. 4 I love myself. 5 I love myself. 6 I love myself. . . and so on. Sustained focus and a positive thought works well enough as a mental opiate that I can return to my natural state of feeling good... and I remember, life is just for fun!

Allow yourself to feel open. Let yourself receive. Decide to listen to what life is giving you, to what life is telling you right now.

Breathe in and lighten up because life is not serious!
Breathe out and surrender! It’s not up to you!

A good quote from Eckhart Tolle is this: “My secret is, that I don’t mind what happens.” Decide to not mind what happens, because you feel so good just being alive!

Breathe in and decide to feel good regardless of your circumstances!
Breathe out and decide: I don’t mind what happens.

How can you get to that good-feeling place, where it doesn’t matter what happens? Where it doesn’t matter what could go wrong, because you feel so good? I think it’s why we like drugs like morphine. Those kind of drugs make us feel good no matter what’s happening. But what if we could do that ourselves!

Breathe in and step into your power!
Breathe out and know that you can feel as good as you would if you were taking morphine, right now, because you choose so! Because you stood up to your thoughts! Because you have mental discipline!

Breathe in and stand up to your thoughts!
Breathe out and begin to feel empowered!

You can be your reason for feeling good and it’s really easy: all you have to do is stop thinking. Then you return to your natural state of feeling good.

Breathe in and step outside of your mind
Breathe out and let those thoughts go

To occupy your mind, to get away from that compulsive thinking, to step outside of your mind and transcend thought, try this mantra!

1 I love myself 2 I love myself 3 I love myself 4 I love myself 5 I love myself 6 I love myself . . . and so on and on until you get to 10,000! Counting and repeating “I love myself” keeps your mind engaged with an activity so you don’t get lost in your thoughts, and you’re also constantly sending yourself love.

Breathe out and feel so relieved because you have the solution!

Sometimes a mantra is just hard to hang onto because our thoughts drift. And sometimes silent counting is just so boring! Try combining the two to keep your focus strong, and to be nourishing yourself—loving yourself—revealing the fact that you already love yourself! You already love your life! And you don’t mind what happens!

Daily Meditation – Nothing Happens For A Reason

I believe everything happens for a reason. But sometimes it’s maddening to have something “bad” happen, and then hear someone say, “Well, everything happens for a reason!” So my new thing is to say “nothing happens for a reason” when something “goes wrong”. It’s funnier, and kinda helps me let go of trying to figure everything out. Also, when you’re waiting and waiting and nothing is happening… nothing is happening for a reason!

This is the right place and this is the right time. Every moment ever created lead up to right now! You doing this! Nothing happens for a reason!

Let what you want come to you, knowing that when it comes you won’t care because you already feel good. Everything you want, you just want so you can feel better. And you can choose to feel better right now!

Even though I have this problem, I’ve decided to feel good about that! It’s working itself out! Who cares!

You can always listen for the answers. You can always listen for the flow. And if you ever doubt what you should be thinking, just go back to “I love myself”.

Sometimes I record these meditations and I feel unfocused and bored and like I'm just spouting the same nonsense over and over.

This was happening yesterday... but then by the end of the video I felt a spark of magick and perfect timing and the video turned out good. I remembered that I can just listen for what to say and it comes. I never have to worry about coming up with the perfect thing to say, because if I still my mind and listen, I hear the right words at the right time and it's synchronous and just what I needed.

Isn't it wild all the answers are already inside?!?!?!?!?

Bring your awareness to right here, right now. Wherever you’re focusing, imagine it’s a brilliant ball of yellow light, wherever you’re focusing. It’s a Buddhist technique. If you’re focusing on me, put all of your attention on my voice, on my face. Just imagine a ball of yellow light on my face.

Ask yourself, “Who is feeling?” Ask yourself to notice, “What am I feeling?”

You can let each moment in life pass through you, while you stay feeling good, connected to your source, to the universal well being, that comes from that point in you where consciousness is. You have access to a permanent flow of pure positive energy within you already! All you have to do to access it, is notice, “Who is feeling? Who is thinking?” Any time you notice a disturbance in your emotions or your thoughts—if it’s too abstract to just stand back and notice, try this technique, which is based on EFT. Every time you notice a disturbance, just say, “Even though I notice a disturbance, I love and accept myself totally and completely.” (I need to work on it too!) Even though I experienced this disturbance, I totally and completely love and accept myself. Use this technique to let thoughts and feelings pass through you so you can stay anchored in the present moment, where all of your power lies.

The infinite source of your being is just perceiving worrying about what other people think. You can use that consciousness—that attention—to let go of that very feeling.

Keep your attention in the present moment. When thoughts and feelings come, you don’t have to get lost in them. You don’t have to pay attention to every single one. You can just let them go by and watch, deeply seated in the root of your consciousness. Riding the flow, energized with universal energy. Attuned to synchronicity. In love with yourself and your life.

How much of your pain comes from thinking, “I hate myself” or “I’m so lame!” or judging yourself or criticizing yourself? Replace all of those thoughts with “I love myself”. Every time you make a mistake, “I love myself”. Every time you doubt yourself, “I love myself”. Get creative in how you think about it. Who is loving you? Is it your higher self? Is it god? Is it the universe? Is it your awareness, your deep-seated consciousness? Who is it that’s loving you??

It’s the creator, loving you. It’s YOU. It’s all that is, loving you. The more that you say it, the more you know it’s true.

You think your mind has to figure it out. You think you have to physically step in. You think you have to fix it. But if you stop wondering, stop asking, “What if this happens,” you’re trusting the magick of life. Everything that happens will be exactly perfect.

I never have to wonder if my cat is distracting from this video. I never have to wonder if I’m doing a good job. I never have to wonder if I did the right thing, or if I’m going to do the right thing. I never have to wonder. Whatever the right thing is, will happen at the time it’s supposed to happen. I don’t have to get involved because I trust the magick of life.
